DESIGN AND BUILD QUALITY

The collaboration between Aspire and NoName Mods has given life to a product that from the first impact appears flawless: perfect construction and superb aesthetics. Aspire Zero G is a compact device with a minimal, modern and incredibly elegant style. Zero G is built in stainless steel with Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR) inserts and has a well-kept design as well as a first-class workmanship.

The tube shape, the very good oval fire button with the rubberized texture that surrounds it to facilitate its grip, are just some of the most appreciable features of this product. There really is nothing more to add.

ERGONOMICS AND PORTABILITY

Due to its characteristics (which we will see very soon) and its size, the Aspire Zero G is a vape system for any type of vape, from the less experienced to the long-term vapers. The mod is just 107mm tall, has a diameter of 26mm and a total weight of around 135 grams.

It is easy to see how the Aspire Zero G makes handling and portability one of its strongest points. Ergonomics is also excellent, facilitated by the classic tube shape and rubberized textures that facilitate and always make the grip solid and safe. It is a pleasure to hold this device in your hand!

ASPIRE ZERO G FUNCTIONS AND PERFORMANCES

Aspire Zero G is a very simple device to use: no display, nor the possibility to modify functions and settings of vaping; the user has simply to use a fire button to vape (five clicks to switch on/off), adjusting the power using a ring (potentiometer) at the bottom, which is very reminiscent of the settings of reflex cameras. A choice with a very intriguing and effective vintage style. Finally, on the device there is also an airflow control made directly on the upper part of the tube, which must be rotated to establish the preferred opening of the three airflow slots.

The battery of this device is integrated with 1500 mAh, not bad for a device designed essentially for MTL or for a restricted flavor chasing, and which in any case cannot exceed 40 watts. To be honest though, I would have preferred a larger battery capacity even at the expense of a greater mod height, to ensure the device last for a whole day of vaping before needing to be recharged. In any case, the presence of a 1A USB type-C socket allows this device to recharge relatively quickly even if not among the fastest on the market (about 70-80 minutes for a full charge).

A small luminous LED on the upper part of the fire button indicates the battery charge level:

• Green Light: battery between 100-50% (> 3.8V);
• Blue Light: battery between 50-20% (3.5-3.8V;
• Red Light: battery between 20-0% (<3.5V).

Finally, this device does not lack the most classic protection functions that all the most common vape systems are now equipped with, from short circuit protection, through low voltage protection and continuing with the canonical protections for too high or too low charge.

EASE OF USE

There is very little to say about the ease of use of the Aspire Zero G as this device, as just seen, is only equipped with a power button and the possibility to easily adjust the delivery power and the airflow. In addition, on the Zero G it is easier than ever to operate on the pod, both as regards its insertion on the mod (magnetic coupling), and for the e-liquid refill that is carried out from bottom by lifting the black silicone cap.

The only slightly more complex operation relating to the Aspire Zero G concerns the removal of the coil from the pod/tank, an operation that requires the use of the appropriate removal tool (in the package) necessary to unscrew the base of the tank and to extract the coil.

ASPIRE ZERO G POD-TANK and AROMA

In the equipment of the Aspire Zero G kit there is a pod-tank (capacity of 2 ml in the TPD version and of 3.5 ml in the standard version) and two coils, the Aspire AVP Pro 0.65 ohm mesh coil and the Aspire AVP Pro 1.15 ohm coil. Both coils are designed for MTL vape, the 0.65 coil in a recommended range between 15 and 18 watts, the 1.15 ohm coil in a vaping range between 10 and 16 watts ; with the Aspire Pro 0.65 ohm you can still safely vape in restricted flavor chasing, also using the specific short drip tip with a larger hole. For a pure MTL vape there is a second ultem drip tip, taller than the first one and with a smaller hole.

In addition to the two coils, Aspire has also made available to more experienced vapers an RBA base that transforms the kit in all respects into a tube with adjustable wattage and with a real RTA atomizer. The e-liquid refill is carried out from bottom by lifting the black silicone cap on the base of the tank. The presence of a ultem section allows to check the quantity of e-liquid inside the tank.

I tried and tested the Aspire Zero G first using the two coils supplied and finally experimenting with its rebuildable base to verify its value, especially when dealing with organic tobacco e-juices. Both AVP Pro coils confirmed the good I have always had the opportunity to think and say about Aspire coils in general; the aromatic performances of these two coils are in my opinion absolutely satisfactory both for lovers of flavor chasing (AVP Pro 0.65 Ohm Mesh Coil), and for those who prefer a more restricted draw (AVP Pro 1.15 Ohm Coil).

But the real surprise concerns the RBA base, which in its simplicity (do not forget that there is still the possibility to change the 510 pin under the coil to change the airflow) has been able to give me full aromatic satisfaction with all the tobacco e-juices I tried. I made (without any kind of problem for coiling and wicking) a simple Kanthal A1 28 AWG coil for about a 1.00 ohm on a 2.5 mm tip and I was favorably impressed by the aromatic capabilities of its small vape chamber.

Test with e-liquid “Poncho” by Officine Svapo and The Flavourist

In the test with the e-liquid Poncho, which I remember being an organic extract of Verona Tobacco, the Vertex showed off a high level aromatic performance, managing to show all the qualities of this rare tobacco, accentuating its roundness and scents. vegetables and its freshness. A very pleasant vape with tobacco notes that emerge on the palate with great softness but at the same time with unexpected incisiveness.

Test with e-liquid “Il Monco” by Officine Svapo and The Flavourist

The second of the three liquids in Officine Svapo’s “Italian Western Collection” line was Il Monco, a very complex and structured blend of Syrian Latakia, Tobacco from Verona and Kentucky from Benevento, which rightfully falls into the category of dark blends. The aromatic yield of Il Monco is just as valid as that of the previous liquid and thanks to the ability of the RBA to clearly present all its numerous and robust nuances.

Test with e-liquid “Agua Caliente” by Officine Svapo and The Flavourist

Even with Agua Caliente, a blend of Kentucky, Latakia and Perique tobaccos flavored with American sweet potato and blackcurrant, the Aspire Zero G in RTA configuration expressed a good aromatic performance, although perhaps it was not perfectly able to unpack properly. precise all its components. In this case, the atomizer showed the tobacco hints and sour notes of the currant more effectively and less the sweet component of the American potato.

Ultimately, a drawt that is always very clean and linear and sufficiently silent is combined with a truly enviable amplitude and aromatic yield. The vapor is medium dry and this speaks volumes about its ability to express itself well with a wide range of e-liquids.
